Admission requirements of every Polytechnic in Nigeria
To get admission into every Polytechnic for National Diploma (ND1) in Nigeria, you will need to have at least 5 O’level credits including English language, Mathematics, and any three other relevant subjects in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB examination at not more than two sittings.
In the same vein, for you to get admission for Higher National Diploma (HND1), you need;
- O’level requirements for National Diploma Programme
- National Diploma with a minimum of lower credit division from any polytechnic approved by NBTE.
- Evidence of 1-year Industrial attachment

English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:

- BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT
O’Level Course Requirements:

Mathematics, a basic science, and three other subjects chosen from the following:

- English Language
- Typewriting.
UTME Subjects Combination for Computer Science:
English language, Mathematics and any two of Geography, Physics,
Economics or Chemistry.
- ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
O’Level Course Requirements for Electronics Engineering:
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any two subjects from the following:
- Biology/Agricultural Science
- Technical Drawing
- Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity
- Auto Mechanics
- Metal Work
- Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.)
- Further Mathematics
- English Language
- Geography
- Economics/Commerce
- Electronics Engineering:
English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry / Technical Drawing.
Please note that credit passes in English Language and Physics are compulsory for you to have to study Electrical and Electronics engineering in any Polytechnic in Nigeria.

O’Level Course Requirements for Statistics:
Mathematics, a basic science and three other subjects are chosen from the following:
- Economics
- Geography
- Government/History
- Further Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology/Agricultural Science
- English Language
- Typewriting
UTME Subjects combination for Statistics:
English language and any of the two of Economics/Commerce, History/Government, CRK/IRK, Mathematics.
