Step 1: IMEI of your phone
IMEI is an acronym and it stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. Every in the world has its own unique IMEI number.
It is boldly written on the package of any newly bought phone. Meanwhile, to know the IMEI of your phone, just dial *#06#.
This code is unique and unchangeable. That is, the person who stole your phone can know its IMEI number but he/she can never change it.
Step 2: Use IMEI tracker app
After you have known the IMEI of your phone, now it’s time to download IMEI tracker from your device store (app store or play store).
Go to your device store (play store for android user while app store for iOS user) app and search for “IMEI phone tracker”. Then click install and download.
Step 3: configuring the application
After you have downloaded the application, you will be asked to fill in the telephone numbers of people that you trust. This could be your family or friends.
If your phone was stolen and a new SIM has been inserted in it, text messages will be automatically sent to those numbers of the people that you trust.
Step 4: inputting IMEI number
An SMS will include IMEI number and the phone’s location by filling in the IMEI number of your lost phone and tap “Track”.
A pop up window will then appear showing the real time location of your phone. With IMEI phone tracker, you can track the phone’s location easily.
One amazing feature of “IMEI Phone tracker” is that you can send text messages or command “get lost phone” with other devices to your lost device. Once you do that, this app will grant the request and send you the exact location.
Step 5: report to the police
Now, by using IMEI tracker application, you will know the location where another person is using your phone and anything he/she uses it to do online.
This time is the best time to go to police station or civil defence office or any uniformed person and report the case. Give them the transportation money so that some of them should go along with you.
