Subhana-alladhi sakh-khara 
la-na hadha wa ma kunna 
la-hu muqrinin. 
Wa inna ila Rabbi-na la munqalibun.

Meaning in English: Glory unto Him Who created this transportation, for us, though 
we were unable to create it on 
our own. 
And unto our Lord we shall return.

17. When going to the market

Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu 
laa shareeka lahu,
 lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, 
yuhyee wa yumeetu,
 wa Huwa hayyun laa yamootu, 
biyadihil-khayru,
 wa Huwa alaa kulli shayin Qadeer.

Meaning in English: There is no Lord except Allah. 
He is One and has no partners. 
His is the Kingdom and for Him 
are all praises. 
He gives life and gives death. 
He is eternal and everlasting 
In His control is goodness, 
and He has power over everything.

18. For beneficial rainfall

Allaahumma sayyiban naafi’an.

Meaning in English: O Allah, (bring) beneficial rain clouds.

19. After wudhu (ablution)

Ashhadu an la ilaha illal-lahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, 
wa-ashhadu anna Muhammadan AAabduhu warasooluh. 
Allahummaj-AAalnee minat-tawwabeena wajAAalnee minal-mutatahhireen.

Meaning in English: I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone without partner, 
and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. 
O Allah, make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure.

20. When it is thunder

Subhaanal-lathee yusabbihur-
ra’du bihamdihi
 walmalaa’ikatu min kheefatihi

Meaning in English: Glory is to Him Whom thunder 
and angels glorify due to fear of Him.

21. Increase in knowledge

Rabbi Zidnee I’lmaa.

Meaning in English: Lord, forgive me. My Lord, forgive me.

22. When you feel pain

Bis-mil-laahBis-mil-laahBis-mil-laah
Aooodhu Billaahi wa qudrati min sharri ma ajid wa uhaadhir (7 times).

23. For good end

Allahumma inni as aluka husnal khatimah.

Meaning in English: O Allah ! I ask you for a good end to my life

24. For protection from laziness

Rabbi a’udhu bika minal- kasali wasu-il- kibari.

Meaning in English: O Allah ! I seek your refuge from laziness and evils of old age.

25. For weakness of memory

Sa-nuq-i-ka fa laa tan-saa il-laa maa shaa-al-laah.

Meaning in English: Recite 7 times and blow on the patient or oneself.

26. Thankful to God for bad news

Subhannalah

27. Protection from hell – fire

Allahumma Ajirni Minan naar.

Meaning in English: O Allah save me from the  Hell Fire.

28. Paying off the debt

Allaahummak-finee bihalaalika ‘an haraamika 
wa ‘aghninee bifadhlika ‘amman 
siwaaka.

Meaning in English: O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.

29. For daily protection

A oodhu bi kalimaat-illah hil- tammah min sharri ma khalaqa.

Meaning in English: O Allah  Protect me from the evil.

30. Dua of desperation

Rabbi inni Lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer.

Meaning in English: OH Allah! I am in need of the good you send me.

31. Dua of nabiyl Ibrahim Alaihi Salaam

RABBI Ajalnee Muqeema-Assalati Wa min Dhirriyyatee rabbana Wa Taqabbal Duaa.

Oh Allah! Make me one who performs prayers and also from my offspring(descendants)our lord! and accept our invitation,

32. Dua for forgiveness

Allahumma inni asalukal -Afwa Wa Al-Aafiyah fid- duniya wa Al-Akhirah.

OH Allah! I ask you for forgiveness and al afiyah in this world and in the hereafter.

33.To be free from debt, sorrow, worries, etc.

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu 
bika minal-hammi walhazani, 
wal’ajzi walkasali, 
walbukhli waljubni, 
wa dhala’id-dayni wa 
ghalabatir-rijaal.

O Allah, I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, 
from weakness and from laziness, 
from miserliness and from cowardice,
 from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men (i .e . others).

34. When in need

Rabbi innee lima anzalta ilayya 
min khayrin faqeer.

My Lord! Truly, I am in need 
of whatever good that 
You bestow on me!

35. For a good family

Rabbana Hablana min azwaajina 
wadhurriy-yatina, 
qurrata ‘ayioni wa-jalna 
lil-muttaqeena Imaama.

O my Lord! Grant unto us wives 
and offspring who will be the comfort 
of our eyes, and give us (the grace) 
to lead the righteous.

36. For your parents

Rabbi irhamhuma kama 
rabbayani sagheera.

My Lord, have mercy upon
 them (parents) as they 
brought me up [when i was] small

37. When distressed

Laa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa ‘Anta subhaanaka 
‘innee kuntu minadh-dhaalimeen.

There is none worthy of worship but You, 
glory is to You. 
Surely, I was among the wrongdoers.

38. When you think you are nearing to death

Laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu

There is none worthy of worship 
but Allah.

39. Respond back to Salaam

Wa’alayqum salaam warahmatulahi wabaraqatuh.

40. When entering the Masjid

Allahumma Aftahli Abwaba Rahmatika.

O Allah please open the the door of Mercy.

41. Dua in the night Lailatul Qadr

Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul 
`afwa fa`fu `annee.

O Allah You are The One Who forgives greatly, and loves to forgive, so forgive me.

42. Dua of Angel Jibrael (alayhi wa sallam)

Bismillahi arqeek, min kulli shay’in yu’dheek, 
min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin haasid, 
Allaahu yashfeek, Bismillaahi arqeek.

With the Name of Allah, I recite over you 
(to cleanse you) from all that troubles 
you, and from every harmful mischief 
and from the evil of the eyes of an 
envier. Allah will cure you; 
and with the Name of Allah,
 I recite over you.

43. Durood Shariff

Allaahumma salli ‘alaa Muhammadin wa ‘alaa ‘aali Muhammadin, kamaa sallayta ‘alaa ‘Ibraaheema wa ‘alaa ‘aali ‘Ibraaheema, ‘innaka Hameedun Majeed. 
Allaahumma baarik ‘alaa Muhammadin wa ‘alaa ‘aali Muhammadin, kamaa baarakta ‘alaa ‘Ibraaheema wa ‘alaa ‘aali ‘Ibraaheema, ‘innaka Hameedun Majeed.

O Allah, bestow Your favor on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad as You have bestowed Your favor on Ibrahim and on the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. 
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

44. Dua for illness prevention

Al-hamdulillahi alladhi afani mimabtalaka bihi wa faddalani ala kathirin mimman khalaqa tafdila.

“Praise to be Allah who had saved me from what  he had afflicted you with, and for honouring me over many of his creations.”

45. Protection from serious negative life threaning

ALLAHUMMA INNI AS’ALUKA AL’AFIYAH

46. Dual Qunoot

47. Every time dua

48. When wearing new clothes

Allaahumma lakal-hamdu ‘Anta 
kasawtaneehi, 
‘as’aluka min khayrihi wa khayri 
maa suni’a lahu, 
wa ‘a’oothu bika min 
sharrihi wa sharri ma suni’a lahu.

O Allah, praise is to You. You have 
clothed me. 
I ask You for its goodness and the 
goodness of what it has been 
made for, 
and I seek Your protection 
from the evil of it and the evil of 
what it has been made for.

49. When climbing Arafat

Laa ilaaha ill-allaahu, 
waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, 
lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, 
wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer.

None has the right to be worshiped except Allah, 
alone, without partner. 
To Him belongs sovereignty and 
all praise and 
He is over all things omnipotent.

50. When stricken by tragedy

Innaa lillaahi wa ‘innaa ‘ilayhi raaji’oon.

Surely we belong to Allah and to him shall we return.

51. Takbeer and Talbiyah

Labbayk Allaahumma labbayk, 
labbayk laa shareeka laka labbayk, 
‘innal-hamda, wanni’mata, 
laka walmulk, laa shareeka laka.

Ever at Your service, O Allah, 
every at Your service. 
Ever at Your Service, 
You have no partner, 
ever at Your service. 
Verily all praise, 
blessings and dominions are Yours. 
You have no partner.

52. Dua for opening heaven’s doors

Allahuma aghfirly minal narr.

Meaning in Englisg: Oh Allah, forbid hell for me and mandate me your janatl Firdous.

53. When hearing good news

Alhamdu lillaahi ‘alaa kulli haal.

Meaning in English: Praise is to Allah in all circumstances.

54. When looking in the mirror

Allahumma antha hasantha 
khalqi fa hasintha khulqi.

O Allah, just as You have made 
my external features beautiful, 
make my character beautiful as well.

55. For abundant of sustenance (Rizq)

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘as’aluka ‘ilman naafi’an, 
wa rizqan tayyiban, 
wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan.

O Allah, I ask You for knowledge 
that is of benefit , 
a good provision , 
and deeds that will be accepted.

56. When having intimacy with your spouse

Bismillah, 
Allahumma Jannibna-sh-Shaitan, 
Wa Jannibi-sh-Shaitana ma Razaqtana.

I am having relations in the name of Allah. 
O Allah save us from Satan and keep him away from the children You grant us. 

57. When you have a case in court

Allah humma hasbayna hisaban yasir.

Oh Allah ! I ask you easy judgement.

58. Dua To Be Saved From Afflictions

Allaahumma ‘Anta ‘adhudee, 
wa ‘Anta naseeree, 
bika ‘ajoolu, wa bika ‘asoolu, 
wa bika ‘uqaatilu.

O Allah, You are my strength and 
You are my support. 
For Your sake I go forth and
 for Your sake I advance and 
for Your sake I fight.

59. For controlling your anger

A’oothu billaahi minash-
Shaytaanir-rajeem.

I seek refuge with Allah against 
the Satan, the outcast.

60. For abundance mercy

Allahumma inni asaluka min fadhlik wa rehmatika 
fa in na hu la amlikuha illa anta.

Oh Allah! i ask for mercy for you 
are the rightful owner.

61. Dua during Fajr

Subhannlahu (33), Alhamdullilah (33), Allahu Akbar (33), Ayatul Kursiy, etc.

62. Seeking protection from your oppressors

ALLAH HUMMA INNI AA -THU BIKA-MINAL JUNOON_NI WAL JUTHAMI-WAL BARASI-WA SAYY_IL ASQAM.

Oh Allah protect me from insanity, leprosy, and serious diseases.

63. Dua when doing Sujood prayer

Allahummagfirli, Wa Arhamni , Wa Aafini, Wa Ahdini, Wa Arzuqni.

O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me and heal me and guide me and provide (Rizq) for me.

64. When sitting in prayer

Rabil ugfirliy.

(My Lord, please forgive me (3 times).

65. Dua on sick bed

Allaahum-maghfir lee 
warhamnee wa ‘alhiqnee 
bir-rafeeqil-‘a’laa.

O Allah, forgive me and have 
mercy upon me and join me 
with the highest companions (in Paradise).

66. If tired in Life

O Allah keep me alive as long as is good for me and when death is better for me lift me”.

67. When seeing someone with illness

Oh Allah, cure the ill of this man/woman and please don’t let this illness occur to me in my life.

68. Dua for begging Jannatul Firdaus

Allahumma inni Asaluka Jannat-Al-Firdaus.

Oh Allah I Ask you for Jannat Al-Firdaus.

69. Dua when you are very happy

Subhaanallaah Allaahu ‘Akbar.

Glory is to Allah. Allah is the Most Great.

70. When drinking Zamzam water

Allahummah inni asaluka ilm-an naafian wa rizkan wasian wa shifa am min kulli daain

“O Allah, I seek beneficial knowledge, wide sustenance and cure from all ailments from You”.

71. When you loss something

inna Lillahi Wa inna ilahi rajeuun , Allahumma Ajurni fi Musibati Wa Akhlifli Khairam Minha.

We belong to Allah and to Him shall we return; O Allah, reward me for my affliction and give me something better than it in exchange for it,”

72. To be free from Hell-Fire

Subahanaakallahumma wabihamdika la illa ha illa 
anta astagfiruka wa athubu illaika

Glory is to you Oh Allah and praise to you. 
I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship 
but you. I seek your forgiveness and repent to you.

73. Dua in time of calamity striking

Oh Allah! I hope for your mercy. 
Do not leave me to myself even from the 
blinkness of the eyes, correct all the 
affairs for me. 
There is none worthy of worship but You.

74. Dua for making Allah accept you prayers

Allahumma Inni Asalukka Bi- Anna Lakal Hamd. La ilaha illa Anta Wahdaka La sharika Lak, Al-Mannan. Badi- Us-samawati Wal-ard, Dhul- jalali wal-Ikram.

 O Allah! I ask You by virtue of the fact that all praise is due to You; None has the right to be worshiped but You ,And You are alone, You have no partner , The Bestower, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, The Possessor of majesty and honor.

75. For protection from hardships and enemies

Allahumma innee auudu bika min jahdil-balaa i wa-darkish-shaqaa i wa suu ilaqa daa i wa-shamaatatil-adaa.

Oh Allah! I seek refuge in you from the difficulty of affliction, from the burden of hardship, from evil judgement and from the enemy’s malicious rejoicing (for my suffering).

76. Dua to recite after Azan

Allahumma Rabba hazihi-d-dawatit-tammaa 
was-salatil qaimah, Aati Muhammadan 
Al-wasilata wal-fazilah, 
waba’ashu maqaman mahmudan-Al-lazi 
wa’adtah.

O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and of 
the regular prayer which is going to 
be established! Kindly give Muhammad 
the right of established and superiority 
and send him to the best and the 
highest place in Paradise which You promised him.

77. When you are in group

SubhAnaka AllAhumma wa biHamdika, ashhadu an la ilaha illa anta, Astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik.

Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise, 
I bear witness that there is none 
worthy of worship except You, 
I seek You forgiveness, and I repent to You.

78. For guidance

Allahumma ahdini fiman hadayat
O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided.

79. Dua to have faith of God in the heart

Allahumma Ajal fi qalbi noora, 
wa fi basari noora, 
wa fi samii noora, 
wa an yamini noora, 
wa an yasari noora, 
wa fawqi noora, 
wa tahti noora, 
wa amami noora, 
wa khalfi noora, 
waj’al li noora.

O Allah ! place light in my heart, 
place light in my eyesight,
place light in my hearing,
place light on my left,
place light on my right, 
place light above me, 
place light below me,
place light in front of me, 
place light behind me,
O Allah! grant me light.

80. Protection from every evil

A’udhu kalimatillahi at-Tammati min kulli shaytani wa hammatin wa min kulli ‘aynin lammah.

O Allah! I seek Refuge with your perfect words from 
every devil and from poisonous pests and from 
every evil, harmful, envious eye.

82. Seeking pleasure of God

Allahumma inni Audhu biridaka min sakhatika 
wa bimu’afatika An Uqubatika, 
Wa Audhu bika minka, La uhsi sana’an Alaika, 
Anta kama Asnayta Ala nafsika 

O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot praise You enough; 
You are as You have praised Yourself.

83. For more success, victory, wisdom, confidence, etc.

Rabbi ishrah lee sadree. Wa yassir lee amree. Wahlul ‘uqdatan min lisaanee. Yafqahoo qawlee (ref: Surah Ta-Ha, verses 25-28)

Meaning in English: “My Lord, expand for me my chest [with assurance]. And ease for me my task. And untie the knot from my tongue. That they may understand my speech.

84. Dua of prophet when he felt sick

Allaahumma Rabban-naas, adhhibil-ba’s, washfi antash-Shaafi laa shifaa’a illaa shifaa’uka shifaa’an laa yughaadiru saqama.

Meaning in English: O Allaah, Lord of mankind, do away with my suffering. Heal (me) as You are the only Healer and there is no cure except that of Yours, it is that which leaves no ailment behind’
