MTN lumos capacity and appliances
The MTN Lumos kit has an output capacity of about 60W. It is thus able to power AC appliances whose output capacities total about 50W; it can carry DC appliances up to 100W. It can carry at least one ceiling fan, a decoder, a laptop, LED and LCD Televisions, radios, etc.
Unluckily, it cannot power tube televisions, desktop computers, washing machines, microwaves, deep freezers, electric cookers, water heaters, ceiling fans, blenders air conditioners and other high-capacity appliances.
However, a typical MTN lumos solar panel’s kit consists of the following:
- An 80W single solar panel unit with cables and connectors.
- A 300Wh Lumos solar inverter.
- Two bright LED bulbs.
- Two USB ports (5V DC/2.1A).
- Four DC output jacks (12V/2A).
- Two car cigarette sockets (12V/8A).
- A 60W inverter.

i have been trying to recharge my Lumos inverter for days now from my mtn line without success. i am on 180days plan. sent 180 to 317 but its not responding.
please what do i do next?
This update is not correct at all. Since December 2021, we have been paying #6480 for 30 days for Loyal _317 and #9600 for PRIME L2048M1M since December 2021.
As a matter of fact when we started with the Loyal in December 2018 it was #4500 but gradually you started to increase the price. The same thing happened with the PRIME, when we got it in September 2020 it was #7300 but now it is #9600. It is true that the solar electricity is very good but you are exploiting your customers.
Dear Abdulrazak, I subscribed one day, #360 to Lumos electricity supply with the number: 08063388041, on the 2nd July, 2022, but up till now power was not supplied after deduction made. Moreover, the daily subscription rate is #360.00 and not #300.00 please clarify misleading issues.
