Engr. Chief G. O. Aiwerioba.
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) was founded by Engr. Chief. Geoffrey Osatohanmwen Aiwerioba, a Civil Engineer and the first NSE president on 16 February 1958. He has worked for a Consulting Civil Engineering firm in United Kingdom and became the first Nigerian Engineer to be a corporate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK.
The founder of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Chief G. O. Aiwerioba is a Nigerian born in Edo state on January 15, 1919. Meanwhile, on 3 July 2014, he was announced death. During his burial ceremony, all core members of Nigerian Society of Engineers were present.
