#1. Language proficiency exams
Before moving any further, let start with the first test required from admission applicants to take ahead of their application to study in UK.
Normally, the university you’re applying for their admission is interested to know if you speak and understand English very well so that you can attend lectures or take part in their discussions.
For this purpose, there are many language proficiency exams that measure your English competence. The following are the language proficiency entrance exams which any body who wants to study in the UK university must sit for.

#3. GRE
The GRE stands for Graduate Record Examination. It is one of the entrance exams for every university in UK. Many prospective students finding it confusing which one they have to choose between GMAT and GRE since they seem to be similar.
Please note that the main difference between them relies on the fact that the GMAT is only required in graduate business programs while the GRE is required regardless the graduate programs you have made up your mind.

#4. Cambridge Law Test

#5. LNAT (National Admissions Test for Law)
The LNAT test aims to know if the candidate who’s applying for a seat at the university has the necessary skills, including here verbal reasoning, interpretation of the information, analyzing and coming up with conclusions relating to an issue. Similar to the CLT, this test doesn’t require you to have prior knowledge of the law.
#6. Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT)
The MAT is a standardized mathematics test administered jointly by two of the most reputed British universities, that of Oxford and Cambridge. It is a paper-based test that aims to grade the applicant’s skills in a particular mathematical subject. Everyone willing to enter an undergraduate degree course in Mathematics or Computer Science must undertake this test.
#7. Sixth Term Examination Paper (STEP)
The STEP test is currently designed and used at the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick. A STEP test-taker will have to show a solid knowledge of typical undergraduate mathematics topics.
#8. Test of Mathematics for University Admissions
This test aims to measure your mathematical reasoning abilities. If you want to enter the University of Durham, Lancaster University, University of Warwick, University of Sheffield or the University of Southampton then you’ll have to take this test.
#9. BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT)

#11. Health Professions Admission Test (HPAT)
The HPAT is designed to be taken by those students who want to study for a Health Profession.
#12. UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UKCAT)
Universities in UK require the UKCAT test for students willing to enroll a medical or a dental degree programmes.

#13. TSA Cambridge
If you are applying to study Land Economy at the University of Cambridge, you will need to take the Thinking Skills Assessment Cambridge.

- Philosophy and Linguistics

#15. (TSA UCL)
The Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) University College, London, UCL is a 90-minute, multiple-choice test which is used for applicants to R990 European Social and Political Studies (ESPS) and LV01 International Social and Political Studies (ISPS).
The TSA UCL is an online, computer-based test. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, testing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. It is also a multiple-choice test giving 1 mark per question.
