In any Nigerian polytechnic, before students can be considered for admission, there are some requirements they should have met. In today’s article, I am going to discuss with you admission requirements of ND and HND program in any Polytechnic in 2022.

The admission requirements for ND and HND program in any Nigerian polytechnic are discussed one by one below:
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ND
The admission requirements for ND program in any Nigerian Polytechnic are discussed below for some of the faculties:
Faculty of Business and Management Studies
Accountancy, Business Administration and Management
Admission Requirements:
Candidates must possess a WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB “O” level result or equivalent with at least five relevant credits which must include English Language and Mathematics, and any three others from: Economics, Commerce, Geography, Principles of Accounts Government, Business Methods, Typewriting, Shorthand, English Literature, History and Religious Knowledge at not more than two sittings.
Faculty of Science and Technology/Engineering
Admission Requirements:
Candidates must posses a WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB “O” level with at least five relevant credits at not more than two sittings. Five credits must include English Language and Mathematics and three other subjects relevant to their proposed field of study.
Computer Science
Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry and any other three of the following: Statistics, English Language, Geography, Further Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Government, History, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition.
A pass in English Language is acceptable.
Statistics
Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry and any other three of the following: Statistics, English Language, Geography, Further Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Government, History, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition.
A pass in English Language is acceptable.
Electrical / Electronics Engineering
5 “O” Level papers with a pass in English Language and four credits passes in Mathematics, Physics, one science subject chosen from: 1. Chemistry, 2. Biology/Agricultural Science and one other subject.
Note: admission for full time ND programmes is through JAMB. Hence candidates are advised to choose any polytechnic as your first choice of Institution.

Admission requirements of some faculties offered in Nigerian polytechnic are discussed below:
Faculty of Science and Technology
Computer Science
- A good National Diploma, not below Lower Credit and the basic requirements for National Diploma Programme.
- A minimum of one calendar year, post National Diploma relevant Industrial work experience.
- Academic Transcript.
Faculty of Business Studies and Management Studies
Accountancy, Business Administration and Management
- A good National Diploma, not below Lower Credit and the basic requirements for National Diploma Programme.
- A minimum of one calendar year, post National Diploma relevant Industrial work experience.
- Academic Transcript.
