How Jumia pay on delivery works is simply that after your order has been successfully delivered to you, you can then pay using your JumiaPay wallet, cash or your local Mastercard, VISA or Verve card to pay on Jumia’s POS machine at delivery.
Please note that Jumia only accept Nigerian Naira but they do not accept International cards on their POS machines.
Happily, you can use your JumiaPay account to make payment on delivery by paying via sms or QRcode.
How to pay on Jumia after delivery using SMS
After an order which you placed on the website of Jumia has been delivered to you, if you chose pay at delivery during checkout, now you can pay using SMS method and below are instructions of how you can do.
- Click on the link sent to your phone and login to pay on JumiaPay website with your registered email on Jumia or sign up to pay
- On the JumiaPay payment confirmation page, click Pay Now
- Select Use different payment method to add a debit card, returning customer can use the pre-registered debit card
- Click Pay Now and Enter OTP from your bank
- Submit and your payment will be successfully processed.

How to pay on delivery using QRcode
In the same vein, you can also use QRcode method to pay on Jumia at the delivery point.
Please note that you can also send the link to a third party to pay on your behalf. Indeed, payment is safe and secure.
To pay on Jumia using QRcode method, simply just follow the instructions below carefully:
- Open the camera app on your phone and place it on the QR Code displayed on the Delivery Agents delivery device
- You will receive an instant notification (website QR CODE: Open JumiaPay)
- Click the link to login to pay on JumiaPay website with your registered email on Jumia or sign up to pay
- On the JumiaPay payment confirmation page, click Pay Now
- Select Use different payment method to add a debit card, returning customer can use the pre-registered debit card
- Click Pay Now and Enter OTP from your bank
- Submit and your payment will be successfully processed.
Has Jumia stopped accepting pay on delivery?
Sometimes, Jumia pay on delivery may not be accepted and it may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Selected items shipped from overseas are not eligible for Pay on Delivery
- Customer’s total cart value is under ₦2,000
- Your total cart value is above ₦150,000
- Your delivery option (some far regions, some specific pick-up stations) is not eligible for Pay On Delivery.
