How to send money from GTB to GTB

To perform fund a transfer from your GTB bank to another GTB account, simply dial the USSD short code: *737*1* followed by the amount want to transfer and then the account number. For example, to transfer 10, 000 Naira from your GTB account to other GTB account which has an account number: 2248659210, just dial *737*1*10000*2248659210#.

Please note that you will only need to use the last four digits of your GTB Naira MasterCard’s card number to authenticate the transaction.

How to transfer money from GTB to other bank(s)

If you are a customer of GTB and one of your SIM card is linked with your account receiving an alert, then you can transfer money from your account to other bank(s) in Nigeria anytime. To do that, just simply dial *737*2*Amount*Account Number#.

For example, *737*2*5000*2148650923# is the code to dial to transfer 5, 000 Naira to any bank from GTB account when its account number is 2148650923.

  • Dial *737*2*Amount*Account Number#
  • You will be requested to select recipient’s bank, then select it
  • Enter last four digits of your GTBank Naira MasterCard to authenticate the transaction.
  • Now, wait for the transaction to be completed to receive a debit alert.

Please note that every fund transfer transaction, be it to GTB or other bank account must be done using the SIM card which is linked with your GTB account as an alert number.

How to activate GTB transfer code

Before you can be able to transfer money on your GTB using USSD code, you have to first activate its feature on your SIM card using any type of mobile phone.

To activate GTB transfer code feature on your SIM card in Nigeria, dial *737#, enter your account number, enter the first six digit and the last four digit number of your ATM card number and follow the prompt.

After you have successfully activated GTB transfer code on your mobile phone and alert SIM card, to be able to transfer money or check your account balance, you will then have create your secret/transaction PIN. To do that, please follow the steps below:

  • Dial *737*5#
  • Enter the last 6 digits of your Debit Card
  • Then enter your 4-digit secret/transaction PIN. Please note that that PIN is the one you will use to authenticate any transaction you will be doing with your GTB account, hence, enter it wisely.
