Part-time is a programme which was designed by Nigerian federal ministry of education to assist or make student who want to school in a tertiary institution but have not got time capability to study.

Part-time students are not necessarily expected to be in the school in all the time but only on their examination day.

Part time programme is different from full-time admitted students. For example, student can be at his/her home or office or market always and still schooling.

1. Bayero University, Kano

Bayero University, popularly known as BUK is a federal university which is located in Kano state. Presently it’s an approved tertiary institution for running part-time programme.

In every year, BUK opens the portal to receive in the Students who are interested to apply its part-time programme.

As for your information, Bayero University, Kano has opened part-time programme application portal from 23rd November 2020 to Monday 4th January 2021.

2. University of Lagos, Akoka

University of Lagos is one of the very famous universites in Nigeria in this year. Its popularly called as UNILAG.

Federal government has recommended students to Study any of the approved courses for part-time programme University of Lagos.

If you want to run part-time programme in UNILAG, please I am sincerely sorry to let you know that the application portal has not been opened yet. However, you can be visiting this website or join its newsletter for regular updates.

3. University of Calabar part-time programme

University of Calabar or UNICAL is a federal university which students can study part-time course or Faculty in.

This University is located in the center of Calabar, the headquarter of Cross-River state.

The part-time admission form of it hasn’t been out, if it’s out we’ll update this paragraph, okay.

4. Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka

This university is a federal university which was formed by the then former Head of State, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe of Anambra state.

Students who are incapable as a result of the lack of money to study full-time can therefore apply for the part-time programme of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

5. University of Benin

University of Benin is a federal university which is located in Benin-City, Edo state.

UNIBEN, as it’s fondly called by people was founded in the year 1970. Now it’s approved to run part-time programme.

6. University of Port-Harcourt

University of Port-Harcourt is a federal government initiated University which is located in Rivers state.

The part-time programme application portal for this year 2020 hasn’t been known yet. However, please do check this article regularly for updates.

7. Usman Danfodio University

Usman Danfodio University was formely called University of Sokoto and it’s a university in which you can study part-time courses.

University of Uyo is a federal university located at Uyo while Uyo is the capital city of Akwai-Ibom state.

It has a very serene environment for running part-time programme courses, in addition, you will be satisfied and glad of studying there.

10. Federal University of Technology, Owerri

Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO as it’s fondly known is a federal university located in Owerri, the headquarter of Imo state.

This University runs both part-time and full-time programmes for its students.

11. Obafemi Awolowo University

It is a federal university founded by the former Head of State, Chief Obafemi Awolowo of Osun state and located in Oshogbo.

It’s one of the thirteen (13) federal universities approved by National Universities Commission (NUC) to run part-time programme courses

12. Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta

This is one of the tertiary institutions based in Ogun state and one of the approved federal universities in Nigeria for part-time programme.

13. University of Jos

University of Jos is located in Jos, Plateaus state. It’s approved and recommended by federal government, National University Commission (NUC) to offer part-time studies to its students.
